| I just spent the last few days wetsanding, buffing polishing and waxing my Z. It looks 100 times better than it did, and I want to keep it that way. My paint is really on its last legs, though before I have to do a repaint. I used 2 different grades of sandpaper, 1500 and 2000. I then used 3M Perfect It II Rubbing Compound with a High Speed Rotary Polisher. Then I applied 3M Machine Polish, along with 3M Polishing Glaze and Swirl Mark Remover. I also have 2 coats of Mother's Pure Carnuba Wax, but I just don't get the feeling that it's being protected enough. This morning the car looked great. I had it under a car cover at work today, and when I took it off, there seemed to be some loss of shine, and some old fading crept back in. I would have thought that the 2 coats of wax would have been sufficient to protect it, but I was somewhat disheartened to find this. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong, or what products I may be able to try that will give some good protection? Any suggestions are appreciated. Oh BTW ... the results from wet sanding are quite striking. Before:
After: (yes, I know my fascia needs replacing)
